Another amazing class with Sara S. She is an incredible teacher. She is very technical. She is very sweet and tough at the same time. I found a video of her at

She was the 2007 - 2008 Texas Yoga Asana Champion. I was lucky enough to stand next to 2 new students so I got some attention :)

Great class. I completed it without a sip of water. This was not by choice. I just forgot my water bottle in the car. Amazingly enough, I didn’t miss it. I had one of those coconut water drinks before class which kept me very hydrated. Once again, I felt to sleep during final Savasana. It’s becoming a pattern with this teacher “RELAX YOUR MIND … RELAX YOUR mind … RELAX your mind … RELAX” and I am out. He has the most calming voice.

I don't think I've ever fallen asleep during final savasana. That must be nice! I would probably snore and embarrass myself. :)
ReplyDeleteI slept for a least 10 minutes. When I woke up the room was completely empty. I was so embarrassed I didn't want to get out :(
ReplyDeleteLucky me, the reception area (right outside) was also empty, everyone was either gone or in the showers. This is the second time this has happened to me. Very relaxing experience but at the same time a little bit embarrassing too. Hmmm, now that you mentioned it,I hope I didn't snore :-)
Ok, there is NOTHING embarrassing about sleeping in final savasana! Be proud of yourself! Those are the best power naps in the WORLD. I've been out cold for 15 or 20 minutes after class on occasion, and I wake up feeling like I slept for 9 hours!!
ReplyDeleteI've totally caught people snoring in final savasanas, too... it makes me giggle. So cute. Sounds like your room clears out pretty fast, so you're probably safe!
According to Bikram, 30 seconds of half tortoise is equal to 8 hours of sleep. I don't know about that but final savasana truly feels that way!!!
